A kölest a tejjel, a vajjal, a sóval és a cukorral puhára főzzük. Langyosra hűtjük, majd hozzáadjuk az egész tojásokat és a darált diót is.
Egy 20 cm átmérőjű tortakarikát kibélelünk sütőpapírral, beleöntjük a masszát és 160 fokra előmelegített sütőben 45 perc alatt megsütjük. A formából kivéve kihűtjük, majd kettévágjuk.
A krémhez a tejszínt kemény habbá verjük, a mascarponét a porcukorral kihabosítjuk, majd a tejszínhabot is beleforgatjuk. Az egyik tésztalapot visszarakjuk a formába, majd rákenjük a krém felét, és a lekvár felét. Rátesszük a másik lapot, a maradék krémet elsimítjuk rajta, végül a lekvárral márványozzuk.
