A lisztet egy tálba szitáljuk. Hozzáadjuk a felfutott élesztőt, a tojások sárgáját, a porcukrot, az olvasztott margarint ,a sót és a citromhéjat. A tésztát megdagasztjuk, majd letakarva langyos helyen duplájára kelesztjük.
A megkelt tésztát, lisztezett deszkán finoman átgyúrjuk és kisujjnyi vastagra kinyújtjuk.
8×8 cm-es négyzetekre vágjuk és minden négyzet közepébe lekvárt teszünk.
Feltekerjük, és a két végét ujjunkkal összenyomkodjuk.
Sütőpapírral bélelt tepsibe (24×39 cm)sorakoztatjuk, majd lekenjük a felvert, cukros tojással.
Még egyszer megkelesztjük, majd betesszük a 200 fokra előmelegített sütőbe.
A sütés vége felé meglocsoljuk vaníliás cukorral elkevert meleg tejjel, majd visszatesszük és készre sütjük.
Porcukorral megszórva tálaljuk.
